Webit FAQ

Q: Why is unticking the Web Store flag for a Stock Item not removing it from the eCommerce website (for example, WooCommerce)?

A: While ticking the Web Store flag will send a product from Idealpos to the eCommerce website, unticking the Web Store flag does not remove it from the eCommerce website. You will have to remove these products directly in the eCommerce website.

Q: The Stock Levels at the eCommerce website are not being adjusted when Stock Items are sold in Idealpos.

A: Yes, the only way to get Stock Levels from Idealpos to update at the eCommerce website is to either manually edit the Stock Level on the Stock Item form, or to do an export from Idealpos of Stock Codes and Stock Levels, and then import that into the eCommerce website. Successful integrations do this procedure on a daily basis and automate as much of it as possible.

To export Stock Levels:

1. In Utilities > Export Data > Stock Items,

- select Automatic Export and Webstore Items Only.

- select the CODE and LCT 1 STOCK LEVEL fields

- select Use Headers if your web store import requires headers

- press Save Format. The Automatic Export Format is saved.

2. In Setup > POS Terminals > Import / Export:

- for Export Stock Items, select All Items

- set a Daily Export time, or export every few minutes (for example, 60)

- specify a Filename

- tick Use Saved Automatic Export Format

The import of this information is done from WooCommerce. Contact your web developer for information on this part of the procedure.
