Unable to make an Account Payment for more than the amount that is owing

Problem:

When making a Payment from the POS screen to an Account Customer, when you attempt to pay more than the total outstanding amount for current invoices, the following message displays:

You cannot pay more than what is owing!

Explanation:

This is by design. You cannot pay more than what is owing if you are integrated to an Accounting package.

Note: This will also occur if the site has ever used an Accounting module in the past or if 'Global Options>Accounting is set to an accounting software even with 'Not connected' status. 

"Changing it to - No Accounting Software" will let the customer pay more than what is owed." -Sanjeev A
