      This error was observed after installing a FTDI based USB to Serial adaptor (Comsol branded.) The chip in the adaptor is counterfeit resulting in the driver stopping the device functioning normally. Windows 10 Pro 64bit PC, FTDI CDM Drivers 2.12.06.


      When tested on another Windows 10 Pro PC with driver ver. 2.12.24.0 the device appeared to work correctly.
