We have found that Newbook have to setup their system to receive American Express transactions as Amex, so the below steps will allow Idealpos to push the data through to Newbook as required.

When the payment solution sends the transaction back to Idealpos, they use their own defined tag to identify the tender (for example, American Express). Normally, in order for Idealpos to accurately add the transaction to the Idealpos American Express tender, the names would have to match (so the tender in Idealpos would also need to be called AMEX.

This User Defined allows mapping of one or more card types to an Idealpos tender.

Desc = TENDERMAP-AMERICAN EXPRESS 

Setting = AMEX

For example, where the Credit Card provider returns a tender = American Express, and the Idealpos tender = AMEX:
