Negating a Post Transaction Tip (PAX EFTPOS)
1. Add a Text String button for a minus sign (-) so a negative number can be entered:

2. Press the minus sign and the incorrect amount entered (for example, -1200), and then press TIPS IN.
3. Tender to EFTPOS and select the original transaction (not the tip transaction) to apply this negative tip.
4. Finalize.
5. Enter the correct tip amount, and then press TIPS IN
6. Tender to EFTPOS and, again, select the original transaction (not the tip transaction) to apply this correct tip.
More info
If the tip has already been cancelled manually in EFTPOS, the following techniques could be used:
- Disable the EFTPOS integration, then run the steps above.
- Disable the EFTPOS integration, then process a PAID OUT. This will remove the tip value but there will still be the two transactions in the journal: one for the original sale, and one for the reversal, but they will cancel each other out and the books will balance.
