Laybys and internal points
Started in Idealpos 7.1, here is how internal points are awarded when using Laybys:Points are not awarded until the Layby is finalized, no matter whether the Global Option >Customers > Layby > Laybys become Sales is set to when Started or on Final Payment.
If the Yes/No option > Customers > Inhibit Points on Account/Layby Payments is not selected:
- If the Layby tender does not have Allow Points per Dollar selected, When the Layby is finalized, any tender used to pay the Layby will receive points. If all tenders used to pay the Layby have Allow Points per Dollar selected, then the entire original amount of the sale will receive points. Generally, this is the setup that most business would want to use.
- If the Layby tender has Allow Points per Dollar selected, when the Layby is finalized, double points will be awarded.
- If the Layby tender has Allow Points per Dollar selected, points are earned for the entire cost of the Layby.
- If the Layby tender does not have Allow Points per Dollar selected, no points are earned when the Layby is finalized.
