Kiosk - Sales Screen Not Returning to Home/Click To Start Screen

Cancel Order button causes the Clerk to be logged out. Cancel Order and Are you still ordering? 'No' button doesn't return to Home/Click To Start Screen.

Symptoms:

Cancel Order Doesn’t Return to Home Screen

  • When pressing Cancel Order, the Kiosk:

    • Removes the clerk from the sale

    • Prevents navigation to other Tabs, and entry of Stock Items into the sale

    • Only available option is to exit and reload POS Screen

Are you still ordering? 'No' button doesn't return to Home Screen

  • When pressing 'No' on the 'Are you still ordering?' screen, the Kiosk returns to the sales screen:

    • The “Are you still ordering?” screen appears after the set time if an Inactivity Timeout is set

    • Pressing “No” incorrectly returns to the Sales Screen 

Inactivity Timeout Loops Between Screens

  • If an Inactivity Timeout is set and no input is detected:

    • The “Are you still ordering?” screen appears after the set time

    • If no button is pressed, after 10 seconds, the Sales Screen reappears

    • The “Are you still ordering?” screen reappears after the set time
    • This creates a loop between the two screens, with no way to return to the Home Screen

 

Fix:

Enable the “Return to Home Screen After Each Sale” Yes/No Option
