Due to a Windows Defender definition update, Idealpos is experiencing slow performance.
This is being caused by a recent (approximately 16 Oct 2024) Windows Defender definition update.
Fix:
To fix this issue, add folder exclusions to Windows Defender for Idealpos.
1. Open Windows Defender.
2. Go to Virus & Threat Protection > Virus & Threat Protection Settings.
3. Click Manage Settings.
4. Scroll down to Exclusions, and click Add or Remove Exclusions.
5. Remove any current exclusions for the folders below if they already exist, as they will need to be re-added.
6. Click + Add Exclusion, and add the following four folder exclusions:
C:\Program Files\Idealpos Solutions
C:\Program Files (x86)\Idealpos Solutions
C:\ProgramData\Ideal Business Software
C:\ProgramData\Idealpos Solutions
