Change Font Size and Type on a Zebra Kitchen Printer

Problem:

Stock Item descriptions may not fit on the label when using a Zebra Label Printer as a Kitchen Printer, or you may wish to change the font type, size, and height of the Stock Item description or the Instruction item description

Solution:

Upgrade the site to version 7 Build 56r3 or greater.

In Setup > POS Terminals > POS Settings > User-Defined Options, use the User-Defined options LABELFONTNAME, LABELLEFTPOSITION, and LABELINSTRUCTIONFONTNAME and the attached specifications to change the font type and size.

For example:

Description = LABELFONTNAME

Settings = 0;20;30

Sets the font (available in the printer) to type 0, the font character height as 20, and the font character width as 30.

Description = LABELLEFTPOSITION

Settings = [an integer value] for example: 10

Sets the starting left position indent amount

Description = LABELINSTRUCTION

Settings = 0;40;20

For instruction items, sets the font (available in the printer) to type 0, the font character height as 40, and the font character width as 20.
