Cents off per Litre (Item Discount)
1. Go to Setup > Functions
2. Rename one of the Item Discount functions
3. Create an Item Discount button
4. Enter CENTSPERLITRE into the Automatic Text
5. Select the Item Discount function you modified in step 2
6. Enter the cents discount per litre into the automatic $ field
Below is an example applied to a sale in the POS Screen
LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF LITRES THAT CAN BE DISCOUNTED:
This will be done with a coupon promotion and a dummy stock item to trigger it.
Let's use 12c/L off fuel as the example.
1 - create a dummy stock item with "12CENT" as the stock code
2 - create a coupon promotion with this stock item as the trigger. Discount type would be $ Discount Each time - set to 0.12. Under maximum qty, enter the amount of litres that is the limit for the discount. Under "Apply Discount to", select "Only Items Below" and enter all fuel departments. Choose "Print Only"
3 - In the Advanced tab, enter length of code (to match the stock code length), the stock code itself goes into the "Characters" field. Set as Position "1":
4 - Create a POS screen button for the dummy stock item. Use this to trigger the discount.
